Command List

.	Snap to nearest object and select it

Useful Command Sequences

. m '	Snap to and select the nearest object and move it relative to that point by a specified amount.
v : ' ' ' ... ' (enter)	Draw a polyline specifiying absolute first point and relative displacements

Tips

• To measure the distance between two points, use 'v' to start drawing a line from the first point. Snap to the second point, and you will see the distance, then cancel the line using 'ESC'.
• Running snap will allow you to snap to line intersections and midpoints (although can also be annoying...). Enable under "Options/Running Snap Settings/"
• Snap and mouseless move commands can also be used with resizing handles: first, select the object so that the resising handles are visible. Move the mouse close to the desired resizing handle and press "." to select it. You can now drag it to a nearby object and use "." to snap to a gravity point, or you can use ' to set a relative displacement.
